Q: How did you find your medium?
A: I began working with stained and hot glass early. In 1985, I found - in sandblasting - a new world of artistic expression. I explored the boundaries of glass carving - sculpting in a variety of glass mediums, learning established techniques and developing techniques of my own.
Q: Where did you find this organic style?
A: This effort to combine diverse techniques and mediums has long been a defining aspect of my style. I utilize paints, gold leaf, metal, woods - and whatever the inspiration calls for.
Q: Where did you go to school?
A: I received formal art instruction at the School of Visual Arts and other institutions. However, most of my techniques have been learned ‘on-the-job’. My techniques have been continually refined over two decades of artistic exploration and practice.
